These are the structures/sites in Farmingdale that have been granted landmark status:

Abigail E. Leonard’s House on Hallock Street - Abigail founded the Farmingdale Women's Club, played a key role in creating the Farmingdale Public Library, and was a Suffragette                                                                                                                                                             

 

Airport Plaza - Honors the men & women who built airplanes during World War II                                                                                                         

 

Broad Spring on Central Avenue & Meeting House Road - This spring marks point laid out in first highway survey of Bethpage made 1732 by Samuel Willis                                                                                                                               

 

 

Farmingdale Long Island Railroad Station - Service began in 1841                                                                                                                                

 

 

Pinelawn  Railroad Station - It is located on Long Island Avenue, just east of the Wellwood Avenue. The first depot was built in 1897.

 

 

Quaker Meeting House on Meeting House Road  - First meetings were held in 1698                                                                                                    

 

 

SUNY Farmingdale - The University was established in 1912                                                                                                                                        

 

 

Thomas Powell House on Merritts Road - Thomas Powell was the first settler of Farmingdale                                                                                      

 

World War II - Commemorates the local aviation manufacturers and employees.
