Farmingdale PAL

March 12, 2020

***IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE FOR ALL FARMINGDALE PAL PROGRAMS ***

Nassau County PAL Headquarters has advised us that, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, all PAL programs are shut down through March 21, 2020, with the possibility of extending beyond that date, pending any further Coronavirus developments.

As a result, all practices, playoff games, regular season games, and any other events for any Nassau County PAL programs — including all Farmingdale PAL programs — are postponed, with the possibility of being cancelled.

We will update this page and email our parents as information becomes available. Please share this notice with any families that are impacted by this notice.

June 9, 2020

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE SUMMER 2020 T-BALL SEASON HAS BEEN CANCELLED ***

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 health care crisis, Farmingdale PAL, in accordance with the guidelines and policies of local, state and federal health and government officials, has decided to cancel the 2020 Farmingdale PAL Summer T-Ball season.

The decision to cancel was very difficult. However, we concluded that this decision was prudent and in the best interests of the children and parents who trust us to provide safe, fun environments for our programs. Given the communicable nature of the coronavirus, Farmingdale PAL concluded that we did not want to expose the children of our community, and their families, to unnecessary risks and we saw no timetable that would give us the confidence to resume the T-Ball baseball program in light of the ever-changing circumstances surrounding this virus. We, like all of you, cannot wait for the day when we can say that this crisis is behind us. We look forward to getting back on the baseball and softball fields with your kids to coach and observe our wonderful young athletes compete and share moments and memories with friends and teammates that will last a lifetime.

August 7, 2020

** IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING F’DALE PAL FLAG FOOTBALL **
After extensive review of procedures recommended by the CDC regarding youth sports and COVID-19, it has been decided that, in the best interest of the health and safety of our participants, the 2020 Farmingdale PAL Flag Football season be cancelled.  While it is upsetting that our children will be missing out on yet another activity as a result of the global pandemic, the health and safety of our children is our priority.  For those who have already registered you will be refunded your registration fee (minus the $5 non-refundable fee from SIPlay).  We look forward to the opportunity to get back onto the field next fall.

February 12, 2021

Hey Dalers, long time, no speak! We hope that all of our Daler families are safe and well.  And for those who have been affected by the Covid-19 virus, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.  We know that these have been tough times for everyone and we are happy to make the following announcement that hopefully will spark a little happiness in you and your children ...
Farmingdale PAL is proud to announce that the 2021 spring season of lacrosse for boys and girls is going forward!  Keep an eye on this page for upcoming online registration dates.
Of course, Farmingdale PAL will adhere to state and local Covid mandates, so the notion of watching your children compete in our programs will be different, but that is our new way of life!   Please know that our goal is to make the experience for our children and our families as safe as possible.
It feels so good to be able to say this again:
HEY FARMINGDALE:  LET'S PLAY!

Lithology Brewing Company

March 16 ·

As we start this week, it is unclear what the future will hold. Bars, restaurants, and breweries are now forced to close in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

It's important to follow the mandates and do our part to help stop the spread of Covid-19, however we fear it will deal a major blow to our business and many other breweries and small businesses in our community. We will temporarily be suspending brewing to avoid overstock of beer due our tasting room closure and closure at our bar/restaurant customers.

We will soon be offering phone and online ordering of beer to go with curbside pickup. Stay tuned for those details and hours of operation. For those who want to support but can’t come by, we are offering 15% off gift cards online. Link in IG bio. For FB click on BUY NOW Button

April 16

REPOST• @yelplongisland Meet David Fabrizi, Owner of Main Street Pizza Company, over in Farmingdale. They had their grand opening back in October and he has been pushing his creative boundaries ever since. One prime example is his Chicken Parmigiana slice, which uses chopped mozzarella sticks instead of just cheese. We've been talking with him throughout these very challenging last few weeks and asked to share this message: ⠀

⠀

"Nobody could have imagined a global pandemic like the one we are all battling. At Main Street Pizza Company we try our best to turn lemons into lemonade. We had to think outside the box. We came up with a make your own pizza kit that comes with homemade sangria kit and couldn’t believe the amount of orders that came in. Seeing all of the families making our pizza at home and spending quality time together definitely makes all the hard work and prep worth it. ⠀

⠀

What’s been most rewarding though is that with the help of the amazing community we’ve also donated over 50 pizzas to the heroes at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage. Everyone is struggling, but there is no one more important than our frontline healthcare workers. We wish everyone a safe and healthy quarantine and can’t wait for things to go back to normal."⠀

⠀

We will continue to highlight local business owner stories on our channels so you can meet the people behind the businesses who need your support right now more than ever. If you have a local business story you’d like to share, respond in our comments below ❤️⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀

Priestly Chiropractic

April 8 ·

We at Priestley Chiropractic are taking this pandemic very seriously. By now we all know of someone who has been affected by the virus. Some people mildly and some tragically. On March 28th, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security released a memorandum, which indicated that chiropractors are essential workers and have a special responsibility to keep their operations in place. We are here for you. We are also keeping front line workers on the job and keeping the general public with acute neck pain, back pain, sciatica, whiplash among other conditions out of emergency rooms and urgent care centers, where they may be subject to infection and drain the resources fighting the pandemic. We are taking extraordinary steps within the office, such as, screening patients before they come in and keeping the office sanitized. If you are having an acute episode you can call us and we can discuss it over the phone and make some recommendations; no charge. If you need to be seen in our office we are available.
