Patrick J. O'Shea was a floor manager and first vice president for Carr Futures, who worked on the 92nd floor of Tower One. He is survived by his wife Sheila and children Patrick and Megan.
The O'Sheas met in an unlikely place: Cinema 150 in Syosset.
They were just out of high school. He was a ticket taker; she was a ticket seller. She found him funny, and they started dating. Four years later, the two 23-year-olds were wed.
They lived in Westbury, where he grew up, until they bought a house in Farmingdale eight years ago and settled into the daily rhythms of their life.
O'Shea, a large man - 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds - was a dutiful father, playing hockey with his son in the driveway, planting flowers and vegetables with his daughter in the garden.
He was both serious and a jokester, always horsing around with his wife, the kids, his friends. And he enjoyed sports, whether it was golfing with his friends, playing in his softball league or rooting for the Yankees and Rangers.
The family did everything in fours, whether it was going to the movies, taking their annual trip to Disney World, or just playing card games like Uno and Crazy Eights.

That closed in 1940.
