Nathaniel Quinn was born on March 26, 1910. In 1927, he applied for his airplane mechanics license. He received his pilot's license a few years later. Orville Wright's signature is on his license. He was a witness when Charles Lindbergh left for his historic flight to France.
He worked for various airplane companies before forming his own airline appraisal business in 1971. He married Ruth Friedman on December 28, 1935. They had two sons.
In 2000, he was awarded the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award from the FAA. Nathaniel Quinn died on March 14, 2002.
